This is the world we live in:
I went on an interview a few weeks back for a Sales Management position with a HUGE hotel chain. Now, this is a salaried position with a small staff under me. I know...totally not qualified. But anyways, the lady that interviewed me used foul language (i.e. The F-Word) and racial slurs numerous times. It was the day after the election, so use your imagination on the racial slurs. The best part of this story is that she loved me, wanted me back for a second interview...but then never called. Hmm...REALLY!?! This didn't do much for my ego. I decided the hotel was a dump and this lady was a little nuts. Not that big of a loss I guess. I cant believe that this is the world we live in. When people can conduct an interview in this manner, and I'm the one that suffers the consequence. That being not getting the job. Its ok, I wouldn't of taken it anyways. Or at least that's what I tell myself.
I went on an interview today that I think went really well. I always think that I interview well, though. I'm trying to not get my hopes up. But its a company that I worked for 4 years ago, so I don't really need to be trained and I know the company already. Its for a job that I know really well, and I'm good at. Keep those fingers crossed and I will update everyone on how the job search is going as it continues.
