1. We went to the mall to find Ryan a black button down shirt and tie for our family portraits that are being taken in 2 weeks. Apparently, no one on earth ever thought to make a tie for a 5 month old baby. We went to Macy's, Children's Place, Jack and Janie, Gymboree, Target, Baby Gap, Nordstrom's, Nordstrom's Rack, Babies 'R Us and Tj Max. It just doesn't exist. So that little trip lasted about 6 hours.
2. We thought it would be fun to have Ryan's picture taken with Santa. So we went with our friends Andy and Electa and their daughter Blythe. The pictures turned out to be so cute. Well, somewhere between the mall, Costco, and Andy's computer the only picture that we really wanted disappeared. We did get one of Blythe and one of the 2 of them together, but we really wanted the one of just Ryan. Him being our son and this being his first Christmas and all!!
3. We decided to wake up Sunday morning and finish putting up the lights in the front yard. We ended up getting into an argument, yelling, Ryan started puking, and crying. So...I ended up climbing up the latter and putting them up all by myself in the cold. The tree cut the crap out of my arms! But it turned out looking better then the neighbors!! I'm just thankful that I didn't get attacked by the crazy bugs out here in Maricopa.
4. We bought the Pedi-Paws nail filer for the dogs because Joey refuses to let us trim his claws. They grow so long that he clicks when he walks. Shane got all suited up in his Carhart jacket and jeans, backed Joey into a corner, and busted out the Pedi-Paws filer. Just as he starts...I notice that there is blood all over the floor!! Turns out Brady has severe diarrhea and is bleeding from God only knows where. We had to rush him to the animal emergency room. I find it so hilarious that our dog always get sick on Sunday nights...huh...weird. $250.00 later, there's nothing wrong with the dog. "The problem should correct itself" says the doctor. Thank God for credit cards.
5. Ryan has more than doubled his weight so I am feeding him more and more solids everyday. We were so excited to go buy his brand new high chair today, but even more excited to actually use it tonight at dinner. He ended up going straight to bed when we got home after our family outing to the emergency animal hospital. Thanks again Brady.
Me and Shane have just decided that we both have really bad luck. We are both very clumsy and not very coordinated. We are bad alone but even worse together. Maybe we really are meant to for eachother...sharing the bad luck with one another. We are taking bad luck to a whole new level. We go together like a wink and a smile!!
