Winner, winner...Chicken dinner.

I love football Sunday. I don't care for the football part, as much as the time of year...and hearing about how Shane's fantasy football team is getting their asses handed to them. Ahh...wonderful. We have started our very own football Sunday tradition. Chicken wings. Homemade. I have even invented some delicious new sauces. Its nice to see that my culinary training didn't go completely to waste. (Well...that's half true cause I tried to bake some treats for Ryan's 16Th week birthday and they were awful.) We are going to take some wings over to our friends house next weekend. It will be the true test to see if people like them other then us. I'll see if Shane is telling me that they are good only to be nice.

Today, as I sat on the couch reading a book and half watching Shane play with Ryan, I realized that my child is an entertainment JUNKIE! I have said it before kinda kidding, but I'm serious. He needs to be constantly entertained. T.V., singing, reading books, playing with his toys,
in his saucer or on his play mats. I find myself humming the songs that we sing him. And I have caught Shane more than once humming a nursery rhyme or two. I love the baby, but I need to find a way to break his dependence on us to entertain. He needs some alone time with his toys, and mom and dad need sometime to do grown up things...like clean the house and just read a book. One without pictures. Oh yeah...and the picture is of Ryan playing on what we are calling the Over stimulator 2000. Its pretty much all of his toys made into a super-toy hybrid. (OS 2000) This toy can entertain then put him to sleep in about 10 minutes flat!
