History in the Making!

What a week. One that will make the history books. Along with everything that went on this week in politics, I can say that the Borg family also had a history making week. We voted for the first time...EVER. We are the "first time voters" that you hear about. Over the course of the last year a lot has changed in our lives. From having a baby, me quiting my job to stay home with our son, Shane losing the job that he has had for 10 years, and having to put our home up for sale (against our will). I wanted to vote for someone that I feel would make a good change for our country, not someone that I "should" vote for cause that's who everyone else is, or the "lesser of two evils". My son's future is important to me and I didn't take that lightly when filling out my ballot. So I did some research, decided what issues were important to me...and voted accordingly. I'm glad to see that someone new is going to be in the White House, hopefully we can start to rebuild this country that was left us. And see a brighter future for our children.
Friday night was AWESOME!! We saw Kathy Griffin at the Dodge Theater(I loved it, but Shane on the other hand...). Our seats were right up front, I could see her perfectly! It felt so good to laugh. Its been such a longtime since I laughed because something was funny. Not because I just didn't want to cry anymore. I think she is beautiful, and amazing. Thanks to my wonderful brother CJ and soon to be sister in law Brianna for watching the Gus Baby for us so we could go. The night went very smoothly for them, they are going to be great parents someday. Its cool to see my child bond with people other than us. It had been 4 months since we went out on our own. But I must say...after about an hour of Kathy Griffin, I was spent (oh, but the show was over 2 hours. I made it through like a trooper). TIRED...Zzz. I never realized how much sleep I don't get.
Happy 29Th Birthday CJ and Happy 16 week Birthday Ryan. We love you guys!!
