Big Gross Bugs!

While vacuuming the house today, Shane found a HUGE spider! It just reminded me of another huge critter that I found on our property. So I thought I would put up some pictures of both of them up for your viewing pleasure. BTW: We were both shreiking in horror as both of these pictures were taken.

The Boy Can Really Move!

He's on the move! Ryan learned to roll over a few days ago, and now he's a rolling over maniac! All he wants to do is roll onto his tummy, then scream until we put him back on his back, so he can roll over again. You really have to watch him closely now, cause he'll get away from you.

We are also experiencing some diffuculties in the sleeping department. He doesnt want to be swaddled, because he wants to roll onto his tummy at night. Its getting him into trouble...because rolling over is much more fun than sleeping. Needless to say, it's been a rough couple of nights. We need to get this figured out before it time to go back to work!!

Ryan's Happy Feet

FYI: Ryan wears a size 4 (in baby shoes) which is huge!!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub...We've got Pug's in the Tub!!

Its pug washin' day at our house, and the dog's are filthy...it's fun to be had by all! We found what Ace Hardware is calling a "Travel Shower". Its basically that, a peice of soft rubber that slides over and hooks onto the bath faucet. Great for washing dirty pug's...and babies.

Gas Prices in Maricopa

I remember checking the gas prices in Maricopa when I was in labor and on the way to the hospital...$4.09. This was pretty exciting on friday when we filled up the jeep. It used to cost me $75, it now only cost me $35. Let's see how long it lasts.

It's That Time of Year...Again.

It is that time of year again...the holiday season. Its cold, people are crazy, things are on sale, and all you want to do is eat. Your cooking, buying gifts, and spending time with family and friends. Me and Shane have a few traditions that we have started over the last 8 Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. We go see the Zoo Lights at the Phoenix Zoo. We watch lots of Christmas movies, my favorite being When Harry met Sally (it takes places during Christmas but its not really "A Christmas Movie"). Anyways...we buy an ornament for our Christmas tree and we always try to get out and see the lights around town. I'm extra excited this year, of course, because we now have a third member of our family to share these traditions with. Ryan responds really well to lights and flashing things, so I think he's gonna LOVE the Zoo Lights. And I'm really excited to get pictures with Santa. Oh yeah, we are gonna hit up every Santa in town. I'm gonna have a scrapbook full of pics on Santa's lap. Its his first Christmas...it needs to be done.

In other Borg family news:

We are still trying to find a church. We have been talking a lot about god and his place in our life. There are still a lot of questions that go unanswered. Its hard because we both grew up with such different but strong religious backgrounds. It always seems like one is so different from the other. Hopefully we can find a place to have Ryan baptized by the beginning of 2009.

I have been undergoing some testing for a job with Progressive Insurance. I'm pretty excited because the job would be working with a large group of people in a loud/fun environment. I'm still not thrilled about putting the baby in daycare, mainly because I have issues paying someone else to raise my kid. Not that there is anything wrong with daycare...I just wanted to be the mom for him that I didn't have. Not to say that my dad wasn't the best mom in the world, because he was! He was all I ever needed. Its hard to find good men like that these days. But I am amp'd to get back to work and start making lots and lots of money so I can buy him lots of toys for Christmas.

My goal is to be enrolled in school by the end of January. Even though the Progressive job is great, I cant forget about the larger picture. I'm great at sales and have been fairly successful at it in the past, but I eventually want to end up as a nurse practitioner...helping people who need it.
