What's Up?

My due date is in 8 days...and obviously no baby yet!

(I thought the second baby comes fast and early? They lie. I knew the second my doctor said that, my hopes would be set on the baby coming fast and early. Oh well. Patience is a virtue....not something I was born with, but I guess I can play along.)

A lot has been going on with us. First of all, for those who dont know, the house buying fell through at literally the eleventh hour. We were pretty upset for the first week or so, but now have come to realize that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I dont believe we will ever move back to Maricopa. That ship has sailed, far away.

We are in the process of potty training Ryan. He "MAKES WATER" on the potty a handful of times a day. Im trying to concentrate on teaching him how to tell me that he needs to go. That seems to be the issue. I can put him on the toilet, and he goes. But does he know he needs to go??

Ryans obsession with the Disney movie Cars has hit an all time high. He now has a Cars "night night" (which is a blanket), Cars pillow, jammies, stickers, books, movie and bike. Well its not really a bike, more like a ride on quad, but he calls it his bike. And with a thick German accent too. Its funny.

I have officially been on maternity leave for 48 hours and I am already bored. Im trying to keep myself busy with cleaning and organizing, but at almost 39 weeks pregnant, my watermelon tummy is hard to manuever around in.

I have started ytaking pictures in Jpeg, instead of RAW until I figure out what is wrong with my computer. I know I need a new one, but at least I can post and view the Jpegs. I will post some photos shortly.

Hopefully I can get this baby born in the next day or two!! I will of course keep the family updated!!

28 Week Ultra Sound: Jakob Borg

Third Trimester!!

Life has been turned upside down in the Borg house. My job is crazy and keeps me on my toes daily!! One day its good, the next...its whatever. Shane's job seems to be going smoothly. He has started to get the hang of it and is starting to see the money roll in.
The pregnancy is going smoothly. I'm getting very pregnant and starting to get uncomfortable in my middle section. I have actually lost 21 lbs from the start of this pregnancy to now. I feel good, and my medication allows me to eat anything I want. One thing is certain...this pregnancy is different in every possible way from my fist one. Its almost like the 2 of them together make up one complete pregnancy with all the symptoms combined. Jakob is about 2.5 pounds and 15 inches long. My job keeps me very active and always moving...which unlike the first one, has helped keep my energy up. Maternity clothes are one thing I didnt have to deal with the first go around, they are expensive and hard to find stuff that is comfortable for work. Friday I go in for my last ultrasound...so I will post pictures of Jakob in all of his cute baby fatness!! It will be nice to see my son again after 6 weeks with no insurance!

What's in a Name

We always said that if we had sons we would name them after my 2 older brothers. Thats how we have Ryan Christopher and the second would be made up of their middle names somehow. I hate naming things...dogs, babies...whatever. I want my boys to have roll around in the mud, grubby, dirty, truck loving, fishing with daddy, working on the jeep, good boy names. Jakob: Cj's middle name transformed into a first name. Jay is a good middle but its half of a first name. So it had to have another part. Tobias: After Toby...of course.

We are freakin' ridiculous. Always trust your first instinct. Especially when it comes to this type of thing.

21 Weeks

Today we had our follow up ultrasound. They still needed to find his fingers, cord insert and rule out a cleft pallette. Everything was found and he looks awesome!! The doctor says he looks really healthy. They also confirmed the gender...in case anyone was still in doubt. He has doubled his weight in 2 weeks and is now just under a pound.

It's A Boy!

We went in for our 2nd ultrasound and found out we are having another boy! We are very excited...Im gonna have my own football team. We have to go back in for a follow up in 2 weeks because they couldnt find all of his fingers and his nose. Nothing too worry about, he was just covering his face. We are still deciding on a name. Its the leading cause of all fights in the house right now. I think we might have a middle name locked down...but I will keep everyone updated!! Stay Tuned!!

14.4 Weeks and counting...

I bought some baby clothes today, I couldn't resist. I'm sure it had something to do with the fact that we wont be buying a house this year, so I have extra money to blow. I dont know if the baby is a girl, but I think it is and I saved the receipt just in case.
I feel okay. The medication I have been taking is a gift from god. I haven't been sick since I started taking it. The only problem is that I cant stop now that I have seen the other side, and I'm running out very quickly. I'm going to have to ask the doctor about getting some more before its too late.
I have a check up next Friday and another ultrasound right after that. We should know the sex in a couple weeks!! Get excited!

Week 14 and Counting...

I went to the doctor today. My weight is down 10 pounds from the last visit. I haven't been keeping food down...obviously. I must be allergic to pregnancy or something. The funny part is that it is progressively getting worse, not the other way around (like it should). My doc prescribed some medication that the give cancer patients after chemo; for extreme nausea. Our insurance doesn't cover it and its very expensive. They only allow 12 pills a month, so I'm rationing them. Other then that I feel GREAT!

We have started the prelims of house hunting. We have found some good stuff...I guess we will have to see what happens. Stay tuned!!

Let's Meet Us...The Fetus!!

Here are the first US pictures for baby #2. The doctor has given us a confirmed due date of July 27th, 2010. Well, its a general estimate based on the baby's measurements. I threw in a few pictures of my cervix and ovaries for any interested parties!! Enjoy!!

The Fetal Hearbeat was 173 bpm...I'm sure that had something to do with the dunkin doughnuts coffee I had this morning! It was a baby dance party.

Building a Baby

Here's a quick blurt about whats been going on with the Borg's. I know its been awhile, but if I'm not working...I'm sleeping. That's all I do. But hey like I told Shane...I'm building a baby, what great things have you done today? Ryan is huge and super smart. He is doing well in school, and seems to be behaving. He loves Elmo, mom, dad, farm animals and going to the zoo. We have found that if you show him the animals at the zoo and then the pictures in his books he gets really excited. Work is going fine for the both of us. Shane is amazing and I'm sure will be promoted any second. Same old for me. My boss is really cool about me being pregnant. She gives me a hard time sometimes, but mostly cant wait to meet the new nugget. We are hoping for a girl, but I'm OK either way. Of course a boy would be the easiest because we already have everything we need. And with the birthdays only 6 days apart (if all goes well) all of Ryan's old clothes should fit.(...and that's why you PLAN for babies folks!!!) A girl would present a new set of challenges...some more exciting than others. Of course the baby clothes are way more fun!! We have a few names planned already but we will keep them a surprise for now! This pregnancy has been very easy and I am truely blessed. 3 months down and the nasuea is minimal, I eat whatever I want and I have lost almost 15 lbs! My first appointment is on January 8th...I'll post more info then!
