So...with my kid today, there was a note from his afternoon teacher. It said..."We noticed today Ryan is starting to bite his friends. We will work on redirection and changing the scenery, sharing and taking turns with our friends. Just wanted to give a heads up. He is a good little boy most of the time. This is normal behavior for a one year old learning how to play with friends. Any questions feel free to talk to Karen or Linda."
I dont know what bothers me more; the part about "changing the scenery" or that he's only a good little boy "most of the time". To me, changing the scenery means time out...in a far away place and "most of the time" means your kid is a brat.
Oh well.

My New Lens
I decided that I wanted to take my photography to the next level and bought myself what I think is the best (profession) Canon lens on the market. Its extremely versatile; able to shoot anything from portraits to a wedding, and all the while putting out amazing and professional shots!! Unfortunately it wont arrive until wednesday so the picture above is not a product of it. I also made a name stamp...and then forgot how I did it. I am so excited to start building a porfolio. Me and my dad have senior pictures and a wedding coming up...and I already booked my own "first client". Very exciting. I will post the pictures after they are processed.

After It All
I cant help stop and appreciate the road to this exact place in my life. I talk about this a lot and its something that I truly believe in; whole heartedly. There are things in life you have to give up in order to move forward and move on. I am at such a wonderful place in my life. New job, new home, new outlook...new opportunity to make a difference this time. A second chance to show you what I am capable of and how much I have grown after it all.

Vacationland

Just an update from vacationland...
~Went Shopping for as much fresh fruit as I could fit in a shopping cart. Ryan loves fruit and this week its all about pineapple, watermelon, mango and cucumbers. And yes; I realize that cucumber is not a fruit.
~Went to the bookstore and spent a few hours looking at cookbooks. I also found a book that had old pictures of Phoenix. I saw a picture of our house in it from 1977. Pretty cool.
~Made salsa. I forgot that my skin has a bad reaction to jalapeno peppers, so I used my food processor so that i would have to touch anything.
~Rented the fourth season of Six Feet Under. ADDICTED. The blockbuster in Maricopa just stopped at season 3. I love Hollywood Video by the way. The have the whole series.
~I bought a book on cupcakes and baking. I suck at it, so I thought if I follow the directions word for word I might come up with something tasty.
~We put a stereo in the dining room/kitchen that has an Ipod dock...we have stopped watching so much TV. A vacation from TV.
