Flagstaff

Today we all went to Flagstaff so I (Shane) could go to an interview. It was a long day in the car, but at least I think I got the job. I should find out either tomorrow or Thursday. On a good note, Gus Bob (for all of you that dont know, thats what we call Ryan) has discovered that he likes to be carried around upside down. He's a little loopy after the whole day in his car seat. Right now he's either crying or laughing hysterically. Only thirty more minutes to bath time and then off to bed. Tomorrow it's cleaning house for when the realtor comes. Fun.

Our Bologna's have a first name...

So I thought while we are talking about family, we have to mention our furry family members as well. Brady and Joey!! They are our 2 pug dogs. And for all of you that haven't met them...they are quite the delight, and quite the handful. Brady is our 6 year old fawn pug, he weighs about 30 pounds. He's a BIG fan of eating. Joey is our black pug, and the smaller of the two. At only 5 years old and weighing in at only 27 pounds...I guess he's the runt of the family. To sum up Brady and Joey in one sentence: to know them is to love them. They smell, they snore and snort...but we couldn't imagine our lives without them. They truely complete our family.

The Story of Us...

Me and Shane met almost 7 1/2 years ago in Scottsdale Arizona. I knew I would marry Shane after our first date. I knew he was the guy for me, after only the first few hours.

You can find love when you stop looking for it, and before that one day in May 7 ½ years ago, I had definately stopped looking. I found not only a good person, but a best friend in Shane. He was the smartest, most generous person I had ever met. I knew it would work after I heard my very wise dad say,

"He makes you a better person."
Which coming from him meant...marry him, and quickly before you screw it up and he leaves you (j/k). We married after 5 years, 1 house, 6 apartments, 6 dogs, 4 cars, 2 maxed out credit cards and a bunch of trips to and from "rock bottom". Its crazy to think that after all this time we ended up here in our lives. We are happy, healthy, and on our way to do bigger and better things in our life. We have definitely seen much better days, but we always pull ourselves out of the strangest, and sometimes what seems like completely hopeless situations.

Things will all be okay as long as we are together and continue to support each other. After everything that has happened to us in the past and this month, for that matter, I know we can get eachother through anything...you just need to have faith in the ones that you love.
